Printing on Plexiglass Acrylic Mirror Sheet
Acrylic prints are made is by printing logo, text or pictures directly onto the sheet of Acrylic and acrylic mirror. It creates eye-catching effect and bring a beautiful optical depth to your image. Improper printing operation may result in defects and cause batch waste. Note the followings during acrylic plate printing:
1. Selection of ink: When select the ink used for acrylic printings, should choose high gloss, scratch-proof ink. It is not recommended to use use matte ink for surface printing, because matte ink is not resistant to conflict, and its color is also dim.
2. Selection of screen: It is suggest to select imported photosensitive adhesive with high resolution and imported wire mesh with high tension and low tensile rate. Although it is more expensive than the domestic screen, its screen is clear and graphic edge is neat, meanwhile, it also ensures the accuracy of multi-color overprint or four-color screen printing position.
3. Blending of ink: Ink blending is a core skill in the acrylic printing process , it is related to the screen printing effects, which looks bright or dim, has color differences etc.. Usually this work is done by experienced printing technicians. It is best not to change the ink brand for confirmed products, in order to avoid the color difference.
4. Cleaning before screen printing: Clean the acrylic plexiglass sheet or acrylic mirror sheet before printing. There inevitably were dust on the acrylic sheets after long storage, if not clean them first, it will result in incomplete printing pictures and cause defective.
5. Counterpoint of printing: silk-screen counterpoint seems to have no skill, requires the printing technician to be patient and careful, Any mismatch may make the picture offset, especially for small products such as acrylic picture frame.
